On Thursday 16th September we announced the finalists for the  Asia-Pacific Project Controls Expo Awards 2021. 

These individuals, teams and companies have made a remarkable contribution to the industry and have benchmarked themselves against their competitors and peers with exceptional results in the past year.

However, these nominations ultimately stood out for deliverables and impact, and we are thoroughly looking forward to revealing the results at Project Controls Expo Awards on Tuesday 8th February"

This year, we have a total of  seven categories, with the winners being announced at the official   Awards’ ceremony at  Melbourne Cricket Ground on Tuesday 8th February 2021,   which will also be live streamed to a global audience.

Asia-Pacific Project Controls Consultancy of the Year:

Judges were looking for the ways in which consultancies operate as a project controls specialist organisation, either fully or in part support of other organisations. The culture within the consultancy and how has this been evolved.

Finalists for this category are:

  1. Prescience Technology
  2. Turner & Townsend

Asia-Pacific for Project Controls Innovation of the Year:

In this category our judges were looking for innovation techniques used to effectively manage the delivery, including outputs, outcomes, and any benefits. How it positively impacted the ultimate deliverables.

Finalists for this category are:

  1. The Inland Rail Project- ARES PRIM
  2. Certificate IV of Project Controls Practices - BAE Systems & Interlink Technology
  3. Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) - McConnell Dowell
  4. Monadelphous Engineering and Construction Division – Monadelphous
  5. North East Link Project- NELP

Asia-Pacific Transformation Project of the Year:

Judges were looking for the facts behind the organisational and cultural transformation changes, effected by transforming project controls, and people that have delivered the greatest benefit to their clients, projects and wider stakeholders including society.

Finalists for this category are:

  1. Major Road Projects Victoria - MRPV
  2. Transformation Delivery – TBH
  3. Brisbane Metro - Turner & Townsend

Asia-Pacific Project Controls Professional of the Year:

Judges were looking for the passion, determination, and contribution behind the person. The judging criteria places priority on the all-round positive contribution the project controls professional has made to the business through outputs and outcomes of their respective project.

Finalists for this category are:

  2. Sophie Madgwick - Tracey Brunstrom & Hammond Pty Ltd
  3. Claire Martin - Turner & Townsend
  4. Chris Swann - Turner & Townsend

Wayne Wilson Lifetime Achievement Award:

Judges were looking for the thought leadership of the individual, as a person recognised by our community for major contributions to maturing one or more aspects of the professionalism of project controls practice, a “go to” person for the project controls community for advice and inspiration.

The winner of this category will be announced on Awards’ night.

Asia-Pacific Project Controls Megaproject of the Year:

In this category, judges were looking for broad organisational outputs, and outcomes of the megaproject that had an impact, how have they been managed, and how the management of the project interface with the challenges or barriers were overcome for the successful delivery.

The winner of this category will be announced on Awards’ night.

Australian Chartered Professional Engineer(cost/schedule/risk) of the Year:

In this category, judges were looking for the passion, determination, and contribution behind the person. The judging criteria places priority on the all-round positive contribution the chartered engineer has made to the business through outputs and outcomes of their respective project.

The winner of this category will be announced on Awards’ night.
